Identities Beyond Borders

Identities Beyond Borders (Identità Oltre Confine) is a travelling exhibition that celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Farnesina Collection in Rome.

Through an intergenerational dialogue between emerging and established voices, the exhibition explores the relationship between humans and nature, analysing the effects of an anthropocentric system and offering diverse perspectives on our relationship with the environment.

The visual identity employs a dissected linear circle, which serves as a symbolic representation of the Earth and its natural cycles. This circle is separated into three segments, each dedicated to one of the exhibition’s central themes. The visual design is kinetic, using the dynamic movement and realignment of these three lines to symbolise the transformative impact of global activities. This movement also acts as a metaphor for the way the predominantly female artists approach and explore the exhibition’s themes.

The project is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with Cities Art Projects.
